Hey guys! I’m here to contrast chariot races and swimming.
Chariot races were really popular. The original chariot race was around the stump of a tree and then it got longer. Some people say that chariot races were the start of the olympics, but others totally disagree. What do you think? The chariots that they used were modified war chariots, and they kept using them even after they used war chariots in war. At first the owners of the chariots would ride them, but then the owners would have slaves drive them, and if the slave won, then the owner would get the prize. Women could win the chariot race, when women could not compete in the Olympics because they could get a slave to drive it for them. Now the most popular Olympic sport is swimming. Men and women compete in 16 different types of swimming events. The person with the most Olympic medals is Michael Phelps with 22 medals, which he got by swimming. The United states has the most swimming metals. Now to contrast: Back then only men could compete in the Olympics but now men and women can compete in all Olympics.
